San Sebastián Gastronomika cooks the latest trends in the sector, with equipment by Fagor Industrial

Oñati, 9 October 2017. - Fagor Industrial, leading manufacturer of equipment for the hotel, restaurant and laundry sector, is privileged witness of the new trends of the sector that will be revealed at San Sebastián Gastronomika.

Fagor Industrial will be one of the main sponsors of the nineteenth instalment of the gastronomical congress, which began in San Sebastián yesterday and continues until Wednesday. As such, the Basque Country’s leading manufacturer has provided all the catering machinery needed to equip the different zones of the venue. There are four areas in total, the Cocinando Con (Cooking With) classroom, the Cubo grande (Big tub) and Cubo pequeño (Small tub) performance stages and the Office internal preparation facility. A large Symphony kitchen and latest-generation ovens stand out among the equipment devised for the four zones. All this is so that San Sebastián Gastronomika – Euskadi Basque Country 2017 can stage show cooking and presentations of interest, as well as prepare the latest creations, which serve as tests for the attendees.

With more than75 restaurants equipped in the last year, the company from Oñati continues to consolidate both its internal and external growth. Its sponsorship of the Congress makes the company’s commitment to the gastronomic development of the Basque Country clear.

Fagor Industrial, as well as lending the catering equipment for San Sebastián Gastronomika, is present with an exhibition stand (stand n° 58) where all the attendees can see its latest novelties. Among them are examples from the new KORE 900 Range cooking generation, the Globe Refrigeration Generation and the cook&chill solution.

San Sebastián, meeting point for world gastronomy

For another year, the Basque Country is the meeting place for the best chefs in the world. This time round, India is the guest country and is taking centre stage at the Congress. The culinary diversity of the Asian country in terms of concepts and techniques has made it the object of debate and tests during the Congress.

Renowned chefs such as Eneko Atxa, Martin Berasategui, Juan Mari Arzak and Andoni Luis Aduriz are are among the privileged witnesses of a Congress which expects to bring together 12,900 attendees and more than 1,500 delegates.
